This week while I was sitting on the floor watching television, my leg fell asleep then it continued directly up my spine. I immediately got up and started walking around because it felt so weird with that numbness climbing up my spine. I never felt anything like this before all of this happened to me six months ago. It only lasted for about 5 minutes or so but just thought I would put it out there.
At this point with GBS, anything is possible! The aftermath can be a bit harsh and I'm sure since it starts with the spine, that it will have something to do with it. Your reaction to get up and walk is great because you are doing what your brain tells you...kind of like a natural instinct. Make sure you call your neurologist and tell him/her what you just experienced...your body may be telling you something.
