I'm new to this blog. I'm a 66 yearold female who was eventually diagnosed with chronic diffuse polyradiculoneuropathy at Mayo Clinic in 2010. I had been previously diagnosed with Waldenstrom's macroglobulemia and multifocal motor neuropathy. Since beginning IvIG I have been able to regain some of the strength I lost, first in my hands and then to my legs. I have my infusions every 3 weeks and they seem to keep me from getting worse. My biggest complaint is the horrific muscle cramps in my legs, behind my knees and ankles. Many sleepless nights occur when I'm trying to walk these out. Does anyone else have that problem?
I take savella and gabapentin for muscle cramps and aches and it seems to help a lot. Also make sure you are drinking enough fluids
