I’ve recovered very quickly. I’m down to just walking. Should I exspect to get that function as fast( or slow as the rest of my body).

Walking will come back, but you have to work at it. There are so many muscles involved. Focus on strengthening your core, glutes, hamstrings and calves. It is helpful to have a physiotherapist help so you practice walking with a correct gait. I started with a walker, focusing on keeping my core engaged and my feet pointed forward, and progressed from there. There were a lot of sit to stand exercises to get the leg muscles working again. Hard, but it pays off in the end!
