Seeing through the present

Last week I had another three days in hospital with new IVIG treatment. Despite the reactions this time - the whole gamut of temp, blood pressure, nausea and headaches - the treatment means I can go hopefully for four or five months before we look at another round. What inspired me were the others in my ward - much sicker than I was - who were facing their treatments with fortitude and dignity . Talking as openly as they did about their illnesses put mine in perspective. I visualised a week ahead, and then two or three - each picture better than three or four months ago. With good treatment and inspiring people around you, the possibility of remission is suddenly a possibility, and if not, helping others. Timmo.
